PG TIPS Teabags 500's are black tea in heat sealed tea bags. They are perfect for large caterings and functions. PG TIPS was first launched in the 1930’s as a ‘Digestive’ blend when tea was deemed to be an aid to digestion. After the Second World War this description was contested by the UK government and the name PRE-GESTEE replaced it. The packaging bore the letters PG as identification and from that PG TIPS was coined in 1950. This excellent blend continues its international popularity today.
